Besides, all those gadgets and whatnot are part of the fun of it. It’s the satisfaction of drawing that keeps you from going out of your skull from the sheer challenge of every week. Having to fill up space but not having to fill it with a bunch of bookkeeping from last week — that’s the saving thing. Each drawing is a brand-new adventure. If you don’t treat it that way, then you really are in trouble. The guy who does the same thing over and over again must have a hard time sleeping at night.
